While a director may be in charge in a normal movie, these franchise-heavy movies tend to be run by producers or executives. That's why they like using TV directors. They'll come in & do the work how they are told instead of trying to impose a creative vision on it. When the person in charge knows what they are doing & collaborates well with creatives, this goes well. When they are an empty suit answerable only to marketing people, it can be a disaster. Here, it's not the same producers across movies, so it's probably an executive. I think Sony has been unable to find anyone else who can do this since Laura Ziskin died.

The scene where wonder woman deflects bullets is actually fairly accurate for her since she's able to do that in the comics (hell she deflects literal lasers in the comics). That alone doesn't put her on par with the Flash who is supposed to be faster than light. The DC movies just do a poor job of showing just how fast the Flash is supposed to be. Makes me wonder just how slow you think Wonder Woman is supposed to be...
